About Us

Welcome to Cherry Willingham Community School.

What we believe in
Our school believes that, by creating a family atmosphere where all students feel valued and supported, they are enabled to achieve their full potential. Because of our size, all children at the school are known and it is truly a school where every child does matter.

In spite of our size, we are ambitious and aspire to be the best small school in the country we achieve excellent examination results for students of all abilities. In 2011 we have achieved our best ever set of examination results with 90% of our students achieving 5A*-C grades.

We are also passionate about students developing the traditional values of good manners, self-discipline and courtesy, that is vital for success in later life.

What we can offer
Our large, pleasant semi-rural grounds are situated on the edge of the attractive village of Cherry Willingham.

Our new sports centre incorporates a dance studio, fitness suite and a superb sports hall. We have also recently completed a one million pound, state of the art, third generation all weather football pitch and training facility.

Our school regularly hosts video conferences with other local, national and international schools.

New Buildings
After the recent fire at the school, we have taken to opportunity to rebuild some new and exciting spaces for learning. Amongst these are a Maths Learning Lab, a suite of state of the art ICT labs, some expanded post 16 facilities and some extensively refurbished Maths, English and MFL facilities.

What others think of us
The school is proud to have achieved high performing specialist school status with our double specialism in Sports and Maths & Computing.

The SSAT has awarded us certification for being a school that is recognised for adding significant value to its student’s education.

We have strong links with our local community and our premises are widely used by a range of community groups. The school is hugely valued by the parents who choose it and also by the local education authority.
