Changes to the schools pastoral system

I wrote to you a short time ago telling you that the schools pastoral system was going to change. Essentially the changes can be described thus

• The current house system will continue until early July
• The four houses will be replaced by 3 faculties
• The faculties will be named after people from Lincolnshire (or are associated with Lincolnshire) and relate in some ways to the schools specialism(s)
• All students will stay with their current form and form tutor

New Appointment

We are delighted to announce that we have appointed Gavin Warnock as Lead Practitioner for Mathematics. Gavin is a superb teacher of Maths with a great track record of raising achievement. He will be joining us in September or possibly even earlier. As Ian Pindar mentioned earlier the fire will give us a chance to create superb facilities for Maths and ICT that are the envy of the County. I am confident that with out recent appointments in this area aligned to some excellent teaching that already occurs we will become a national centre of excellence for Maths.
