Screaming at the Clothes Show Live!

This years Fashion Academy students are pupils who are passionate about the fashion industry and fashion design. So as part of their academy project I took them to the Clothes Show for some extreme inspiration, catwalk presentation ideas and some serious girly shopping.
Eleven pupils, Mrs Warnock and I in the minibus doing 64 miles an hour all the way to the NEC in Birmingham. We arrived safely and made it just in time for our fashion show performance slot – and wow was it incredible or what?
Many attractive models, awesome dancing, extreme clothing and funky tunes – it was mesmerising. But the absolute thing which made the pupils day was yes the shopping but the celebrity spotting. The Fashion Show spotlighted Hollyoaks stars, X-factor performances and fit men from Big Brother (so the kids say anyway).
Again as long as the Fashion academy programme continues across the county, Cherry will continue to design, make and perform – maybe we will win another prize next year. Look out for our designers and models in July at the Drillhall in the ‘Sew into Fashion’ fashion show – they will be amazing!
